Following an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy in 1997, Ryan immediately began his career in the Healthcare industry. Ryan has held positions first as an EMT, working at Orlando’s ORMC in the level one trauma center in 1998, and then transitioned to the Rural Metro Ambulance in 2002 to gain firsthand ambulance experience.
Ryan then joined Volusia County Fire Services as a firefighter in 2004, which ultimately led him to begin a rewarding career in Nursing in 2013, achieving high honors at Keiser University. In 2014, Ryan enrolled in the University of Central Florida where he achieved dual bachelor’s degrees with concentrations in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Continuing his career in emergency services, Ryan joined Lawnwood Regional Medical Center as a nurse where he spent over 4 years expanding his extensive knowledge in trauma, urgent care, and family practice. While there, Ryan gained advanced training in both adult and pediatric trauma, while simultaneously completing his career at Keiser University’s Graduate school where he achieved high honors with a master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018.
Ryan enjoys surfing, fishing, mountain biking, and travel as well as spending time with his wife Bree and his 2 daughters Bryn and Aubrey. Ryan has a background in health and nutrition and has spent the last few decades of his life in pursuit of a healthy lifestyle which has ultimately led him to Quality Health & Wellness Institute.
